Privacy Policy

Last revised date: January 8, 2026

Wezz ("we") takes your personal information privacy very seriously. This Privacy Policy ("Privacy Policy") describes how we treat the information we collect when you access and use our services. Please read this policy carefully. By using our services, you accept the collection, transfer, processing, storage, disclosure, and other uses of information as described in this policy.

What this Privacy Policy covers

This Privacy Policy applies to how we treat information when you use or access our services. This policy also covers any information about you that we share with or obtain from our partners. This Privacy Policy does not apply to the actions of third parties that we do not own, control, or manage, including but not limited to any third-party websites, services, applications, or businesses (collectively, "Third-Party Services"). While we strive to work with Third-Party Services that respect your privacy, we are not responsible for the content or privacy policies of these Third-Party Services. We recommend that you carefully review the privacy policies of all Third-Party Services you access.

Information We Collect and How We Use It

Account Information

Some of our services require you to set up a Wezz account, so we need to collect several important details about you, such as: username, password, email address, phone number, full name, display name, alias (pseudonym), profile picture, etc.

We may use account information, alone or in combination with other information, to enhance and improve our services, such as through personalization.

You can remain relatively anonymous on Wezz, but please remember that your posts, comments, shares, username, etc., are publicly visible by default.

Third-Party Service Account Information

You can link your account to certain third-party services. For this, you may provide us with your username or other user ID on the third-party service, and you may then need to log in to that service. Upon completing this login process, we will receive a token that allows us to access your account on that third-party service so that we can publish your content to that third-party service when you request it. We do not receive or store your password for your third-party service account.

Information Obtained from Third-Party Services

In some cases, we work with third-party services that may provide information about you. For example, this information may include your gender if you have disclosed this information to that third-party service and made it available to Wezz. Within the scope of this information, we may use it to develop new services or to improve or enhance existing ones.

When you connect other third-party services to your Wezz account, those services may share information about you with us. The content shown to us depends on their privacy policies.

User Content

By default, all sharing through the service is public. When you provide us with content, it is published so that anyone can view it. Publicly shared content is accessible to everyone, including search engines. Furthermore, publicly shared information may be copied and shared throughout the internet, including through actions or functions inherent to the service itself, such as sharing, forwarding, etc.

Wezz is inherently a public platform. Don't be afraid to share great content, but understand that once content is shared, it's difficult to completely remove it from the internet.

User Content Related Information

In some cases, we may collect information about the content you provide to the service. For example, whether the recipient has viewed the content, replayed the content, and metadata accompanying the content. When used as part of your images, we may collect information describing your camera, camera settings, or EXIF information. This information allows us to improve the service and provide additional features and functionalities.

Camera and Photos

Many of our services require us to collect images and other information from your device's camera and photos. We will only access your camera and photos with your consent.

Information Related to Service Use

We collect information about how people use the Service (including users with accounts). This information may be collected in our log files each time you interact with the Service (i.e., make a request to the Service). We use internal tools as well as third-party applications and services to collect and analyze this information. Some of this information may also be associated with the Internet Protocol address ("IP address") used to access the Service; some may be associated with your account; and some may be collected and used only in aggregate (as a statistical metric, without identifying you or your account). We also collect your IP address when you post or perform actions such as commenting, sharing, etc. We may use information related to your and others' interactions with the Service for a wide range of things that are generally related to enhancing, improving, protecting, and developing new services, including but not limited to: providing personalized content to users; providing targeted advertising to users; improving our search results; identifying trends or popular content; combating spam, malware, identity theft, and generally protecting the safety of our users and community; and for legal and security reasons as described in "Information Disclosed for the Protection and Benefit of Others".

We use information about how you interact with Wezz to personalize our services for you, protect you and our community from harm, and improve Wezz for all users.

Mobile Device Related Information

We may collect and store information related to your mobile device. We may also ask you to provide your phone number to enable new products and improve services, such as enabling multi-factor authentication for account login.

How We Share Information

We may share information about you in the following situations:

Information publicly available through the Service

By default, content posted through the Service and many actions you take on the Service are shared with the public. Because such information can be seen by anyone and indexed by search engines, you should carefully choose what to disclose publicly and ensure it is information you wish to share with everyone.

Content you create on Wezz is public by default. This means anyone can see it, and search engines can index it.

User consent or instructions

We may share or disclose your information based on your instructions, such as when you authorize a third-party web client or application to access your account.

Information you share with third-party services

The Service may also contain third-party links and search results, including third-party integrations, or co-branded or third-party branded services offered with or by another company. By accessing these links, using third-party integrations, or using co-branded or third-party branded services, you may directly provide information (including personal information) to third parties, us, or both.

Sharing Information with Our Agents for Operational and Service Improvement

In certain circumstances, we may share information we store (such as IP addresses) with third parties (such as service providers, consultants, and other agents, collectively referred to as "Agents") for the purpose of operating, enhancing, and improving services, as well as developing new products and services. For example, we may share information with service providers to combat spam, and third-party consultants may access information in the process of improving our processes and technologies. Agents with whom we share information for such reasons are generally bound by confidentiality obligations, and unless we state otherwise, our Agents are not authorized to use the information we share with them beyond the scope and duration necessary to assist us.

Information Disclosed Based on Business Transfer

In certain circumstances, we may choose to purchase or sell business assets. In these transactions, user information is often one of the business assets transferred. Furthermore, if we or substantially all of our assets are acquired, or if we go bankrupt or enter bankruptcy proceedings, user information will be one of the assets transferred or acquired by a third party. You acknowledge that such transfers may occur, and that we or any successors to our assets may continue to use your personal information in accordance with this policy.

Information Disclosed to Protect Our and Others' Interests

We believe in freedom of expression and strive to protect our community from unfounded legal demands to the reasonable extent possible. That said, we also reserve the right to access, retain, and disclose any information as we reasonably believe necessary to (i) satisfy any law, regulation, legal process, governmental request, or governmental order; (ii) enforce this Privacy Policy and our terms and conditions, including investigating potential breaches; (iii) detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security, trust and safety, or technical issues (including exchanging information with other companies and organizations to improve security and prevent fraud, spam, and malware); (iv) respond to user support requests; or (v) protect the rights, property, health, or safety of us, our users, any third parties, or the public.

Information Shared with Your Consent or at Your Request

If you request that we publish information we hold about your account, we will do so if it is reasonable and will not create an undue burden.

Service Providers Providing Services on Our Behalf

We may contract with third-party companies to provide services on our behalf, including but not limited to marketing assistance, email delivery, hosting services, customer service, and data analytics. We require any third-party service providers to keep the information disclosed to them confidential and not to use your personal information for any purpose other than providing services to Wezz.

Third-Party SDKs

When you use our products or services, third-party SDKs may collect certain information. This information includes, but is not limited to, device identifiers, usage data, and network information.

We use Bugly to help resolve crashes and analyze and accurately identify the root causes. In this process, some data is collected, such as device IDs and UIDs, as well as performance crash logs.

Information Security

Your account information is password protected to ensure your privacy and security. We may enable additional security features in the future, such as multi-factor authentication. You need to prevent unauthorized access to your account and information by creating a unique, secure, and protected password and logging out after completing account access on the service.

We take appropriate security measures to prevent unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction of data. These measures include internal reviews of our data collection, storage, and processing practices, as well as security measures, including appropriate encryption and physical security measures, to prevent unauthorized access to our systems where personal data is stored.

We strive to protect your information (including your account information) to ensure its privacy; however, no system is invincible, no matter how effective our security measures are. We cannot guarantee the security of any information. Unauthorized access or use, hardware or software malfunctions, and other factors can jeopardize the security of user information at any time.

Policy Regarding Children

Wezz is not intended for children under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect any personal information from such children. Children under the age of 18 should not use our services at any time. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under the age of 18, we will make reasonable efforts to delete such information from our records.

How to Delete Your Account and Data

If you wish to delete your Wezz account and all related data, you can do so at any time through the application.

To delete your account, please follow these steps: Me > Settings > Delete Account

Once you confirm the deletion, your account and personal information will be permanently removed from our system in accordance with our data retention policy. Please note that this action is irreversible, and you will lose access to your profile, messages, and all other related data.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may revise this Privacy Policy at any time. The latest version of this policy will govern our use of your information. If we make changes to this policy, your continued access to or use of the service after such changes take effect constitutes your agreement to be bound by the revised privacy policy.
